WARC format (WebARChive) is a file format used to store ‘web crawls’ as sequences of content blocks harvested from the web. 3rd-party applications are available that can crawl websites to capture this content. The steps below explain how to ingest a WARC-specific file format.1.1    Login to Starter using your email address and password.The Home screen  displays.1.2    Navigate to the folder/sub-folder where you want to upload the content into and select the folder.1.3    Select the WARC file(s) you want to upload and drag-and-drop onto the main window. You can select multiple files or a zip file.Note: If the WARC files are in a folder use the Add>Upload a folder  option.1.4    The Upload begins, you can follow progress in the bottom right-hand corner. An informational message  displays advising that you are ingesting  a WARC file and you must enter the URL of the corresponding website  into the URL field on the Metadata Properties page, when the ingest has completed (see below).Note

Hello all! I am ingesting some image files. I have these files scanned as .tifs but when I ingest them into Preservica they seem to convert to .jpgs. I am basing this on the file size changing (becoming smaller) in the metadata, and also on the assets downloading as .jpgs. I am using Starter edition and I want my files to be saved as .tif. I'd also like the option to download them as .tif or .jpg.  

After reading recent release notes, I learned integrated AI features are available for StarterPlus. So after checking out the brief description (which noted Starter Plus was included) I watched the recording “How to get started with integrated AI in Preservica” (https://community.preservica.com/events/how-to-get-started-with-integrated-ai-in-preservica-recording-available-230). When I went to test it out on my own, I ran into a couple confusing aspects and am not sure how to access the available integrated AI features for Starter Plus. In the presentation it’s noted that every AI integrated feature is limited to manager or co-manager status. But when I login and head to manage accounts – security tags and roles, I receive a message that states “Can I add additional users? Yes, review the Starter Plus and Premium plans which include additional users and then there is a Review plans button on the far right”  A screenshot is included. At this point, I’m a solo archivist, so there are not

Does the Metadata Quality Check AI feature do subject heading reconciliation against known controlled vocabularies, like Library of Congress Subject Headings? This would be helpful for us in our remediation efforts.
