Why do I not have an Access view for a file?

If you have a file (asset) in the Starter system that has a Preservation view but no Access view there could be a couple of reasons for this:

 

If the file has just been uploaded the Access view may still be being generated in the background, so please allow 10-15 minutes after upload for this to complete. This time will vary dependent on the size of the uploaded file.

 

It is possible that the file you have uploaded is a file type that does not have a supported file migration method to create an Access view. For a full list of supported files please see this article.
