Or any of the DC/MODS metadata fields values? Is this possible or will it be in the future? Date would make the most sense and be the most user friendly option for a lot of our materials (graduation photos, yearbooks, etc). It would also be useful to be able to sort by other fields besides title, like identifier, for example.

This functionality doesn’t exist at present, but it’s something we could definitely take a look at in the future. How about raining it as a product idea in our Ideas section https://community.preservica.com/ideas . Hopefully others will also find this feature useful and cast a supporting vote.
