Hi, I wondered whether anyone could advise on any programme which might be run to automatically populate a spreadsheet with the metadata associated with multiple files in a folder for ingest into Preservica? If this has to be manually added to the CSV metadata file, I can see this being hugely time-consuming and not really feasible for smaller institutions with limited staff time. I am concerned about how to retain the original creation date metadata on ingest. Thank you.

How to capture metadata for CSV file before ingest

+3Karen’s Directory Printer allows you to print directories and a variety of information (file size, created date, modified date etc.) about the files to CSV. However, that information would need to be transferred to the CSV metadata input sheet.
