Hello! I was wondering if and how I could use my custom metadata schema in Preservica. Many thanks.

Great feedback guys, at the moment Starter is restricted to using out of the box MODS and OAI_DC with no customisation. However this is definitely an area we are looking to expand in the future so please subscribe to this post to keep updated

I was wondering that, too. I would really like to delete fields that are not used by us.

Hi Kayla,

The free version of Preservica Starter is still restricted to Dublin Core and Mods, however the interface that Starter uses can now support custom metadata options in its higher editions. If you are a user of our traditional interface then please contact dual.running@preservica.com for access to that interface.

This video will show you the latest capabilities

Does “in its higher editions” mean Starter Plus?

Hi Alisha - Custom metadata is available only for Professional and above.
