Salary Range: £26,544 - £29,583 pro-rata, per annum

Contract Type: Temporary (2 Years)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced archive
conservator to play a key role in leading conservation work at
Hampshire Archives and Local Studies, a high performing Accredited
archives service with outstanding Designated collections.
You will be responsible for managing and delivering conservation and
preservation for the Service, with a particular focus on developing
opportunities for income generation and managing grant-funded work.
Initially you would be the sole conservator but there would be the
potential for expanding the team through grant-funded projects.
You will have a recognised professional qualification in archive
conservation, be on the accreditation pathway through a professional
body such as ICON or ARA, and have at least 3 years post-qualification
practical experience, with a high level of manual dexterity. You will
also have good interpersonal skills and communications skills. Some
experience of seeking and managing income-generating work, though
not essential, is desirable.
