Universal Access Fundamentals:

Recording duration: 1 hour
Prerequisites: A login to your own instance of Preservica, a login to WordPress and your Universal Access site is available and accessible, content and metadata in your Preservica system

This session is all about learning the fundamentals for getting Universal Access set-up. It will look at how to make content available and accessible on the site and cover the basic site customization functions available in WordPress.

This training course will cover:

• What Universal Access is and how to access it
• How to make content available in Universal Access
• Customizing the site using WordPress
• The importance of facets and filters to search content
• Making the Universal Access site public

Configuring Custom Metadata Search Indexers:

Recording duration: 1 ¼ hours
Prerequisites: A login to your own instance of Preservica, a login to WordPress and your Universal Access site is available and accessible, content and metadata in your Preservica system

This session focuses purely on what Custom Indexers are and how to set them up so that users of Preservica Classic and Universal Access can get the most from the content and metadata in your archive

The training course will cover:

• What Custom Indexers are used for
• The purpose and use of Facets and Filters
• What the requirements for using Custom Indexers are
• The attributes and terms of a Custom Index document
• What the different Index Types are
• How to customize a Dublin Core Metadata Index Definition
• How to add a Custom Index Definition to Preservica
• How to perform a re-index
• How to set-up facets and filters in WordPress, and their appearance in Universal Access
• How to configure Content Metadata and how it is displayed in Universal Access
