Is it possible to have a shortened or custom URL for your public portal with the Starter Basic package?
If so, what is the process or the steps to make it happen?
I vaguely remember receiving an email about this, but am unable to find the email or further information on the community pages.

Hello there! We spoke over email on this but I wanted to provide the information here as well in case anyone is curious.
As part of Starter Plus, you can set up a partially customizable URL. This would look something like: myarchives.starter1ua.preservica.com. You can submit this in User Settings > Style My Portal > Portal Settings > Add custom URL. You would then type in the custom portion of the URL into the provided box.
