Each Microsoft 365 environment has a unique Tenant ID, a GUID that identifies your organisation in Microsoft’s cloud.

 

Preserve365 uses this Tenant ID to:

  • Associate your environment with your Preserve365 account

  • Complete the Enterprise Application setup

  • Ensure API calls and permissions are linked to the correct tenant

 

How to find your Tenant ID

 

Follow Microsoft’s official guide:

Once you have located your Tenant ID, please send it to your Preservica representative.

Because the Tenant ID is considered sensitive information, it should only be shared using your organisation’s approved process for transmitting sensitive data. For example, this may include encrypted email or another secure channel.

If you are unsure of the correct method, please consult your IT team. You can also share the following guidance with them: although the Tenant ID is not a secret (Microsoft makes it discoverable), it uniquely identifies your organisation’s Microsoft 365 environment and should therefore be handled with care.
