Any file format can be uploaded into Starter and the system will store it and allow it to be downloaded again, however for a large proportion of those formats we also automatically perform what are known as preservation actions.

Preservation generations ensure that your files will always remain accessible, regardless of any changes to technology and preferred file formats. Access generations are designed to provide your online audience with more accessible formats – these are faster for them to render online and more appropriate as download options.
